UNDP-APDIP established an International Advisory Panel comprising experts and specialists in various development- and ICT-related fields from the public, private, and NGO sectors in the Asia-Pacific region. The Panel members, besides providing UNDP-APDIP expert advice on ICT for Development needs and priorities in the region, will also serve as UNDP-APDIP's network of resource persons and ambassadors throughout the region.

The International Advisory Panel will advise UNDP-APDIP on regional development needs and issues, and contribute to future policy and programme developments of UNDP-APDIP. It will provide advice to UNDP-APDIP in effectively building and leveraging appropriate information and communication technologies in support of poverty reduction and sustainable human development through the following areas:

		Policy Development and Dialogue
		Access
		Content Development and Knowledge Management

Panel members will help UNDP-APDIP leverage on its resources and increase its regional impact . They will facilitate liaison with relevant regional and international institutions and research groups, and provide assistance and advice in maintaining relationships with potential donors and collaborators. They will also help ensure a greater responsiveness by UNDP-APDIP to regional and national needs.
