Large Pan-Asian event opens in Indonesia to share knowledge on Free/Open Source Software
- Over 130 IT professionals of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from more than 27 countries gathered today at Sukabumi, Indonesia for a nine-day Free/Open Source Software (FOSS) conference and training camp called 'ASIA SOURCE II'. The key objective is to promote the use of FOSS for social and economic development and to build a network of FOSS practitioners and trainers with Asia.

Asia Source II: Technology for NGOs and SMEs, Yawitra Resort, Sukabumi, Indonesia, 22-30 January 2007
- Asia Source II aims to build the skills and networks of those in the region who are working in the non-governmental organization (NGO) and small- and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sectors. The event will bring together about professionals from the more technical to the more content-oriented to share knowledge and skills among “those who know technology” and “those who need technology”.

Children of Tsunami: A Regional Communications Initiative
- Children of Tsunami is a regional communications initiative tracking how ordinary people rebuild lives and livelihoods after the Asian Tsunami Disaster. This is an initiative of TVE Asia Pacific and APDIP is a partner. The films can now be downloaded online.

Television Productions on HIV/AIDS From 11 Countries Available Rights-Free
- Completed productions of "Think Positive: The Asian Face of HIV/AIDS" are available for exchange between the participating broadcasters as well as being made available rights-free to all Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) members and other broadcasters.

- The new and updated edition of the Digital Review of Asia Pacific contains authoritative reports on how 29 economies/countries are using ICT in business, government and civil society written by senior authors who live and work in the region. Included are three subregional chapters on the Pacific Island States, ASEAN and APEC.

Development of ICT-Based Mobile Telemedicine System with Multi Communication Links for Urban and Rural Areas in Indonesia
- Grant awarded in March 2005 to Biomedical Engineering Programme, Department of Electrical Engineering, Institut Teknologi Bandung to survey the extent to develop a tested working mobile telemedicine system prototype.

- Grant awarded in November 2004 to Institut Teknologi Bandung to study the impact of mirroring F root server in Indonesia.

Web-based Integrated Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) Surveillance System in Indonesia
- Grant awarded in November 2004 to Centre for Health Informatics and Learning, Gadjah Mada University to improve the detection and management of DHF cases, and the prevention and control of dengue transmission in the community.

- APDIP and the e-ASEAN Task Force, along with ITU's Asia-Pacific Centre of Excellence and the Government of Singapore, organized a series of seminars or workshops on e-Government in Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Viet Nam.

- Grant awarded in March 2003 to Robotic Strategy Vending Pte. Ltd. to create a platform for delivering e-learning technologies to teachers and other educators in remote and rural schools and village community centers.

- Grant awarded in September 2002 to Research Group on Biomedical Engineering and other organisations to develop PC-based medical stations and conduct field testing in at least eight locations
