APT Symposium on Spam and Network Security, Jakarta, Indonesia, 22-24 August 2005

Document Actions
APDIP presents the Asia-Pacific experience in stopping spam at the APT Symposium on Spam and Network Security in Jakarta, Indonesia on 22-24 August 2005.

APDIP's presentation sets the issue of spam and network security in the broader context of Internet governance. In this context, APDIP introduces its Open Regional Dialogue on Internet Governance (ORDIG) project and explores a range of anti-spam initiatives and toolkits in Asia-Pacific and worldwide. As next steps, APDIP recommends the need for international cooperation, capacity building and joint anti-spam efforts, and believes that ORDIG is well placed to use its expertise and outreach in the Asia-Pacific region to play a coordinating and facilitating role in this process.
