egov Asia 2006, Bangkok, Thailand, 26-28 April 2006
egov Asia 2006 aimed to provide a knowledge-sharing platform and a forum for policy makers, practitioners, industry leaders and academicians of Asian nations to carry forward the e-government vision of the region and consolidate them into actionable program, through collaborative learning and partnerships.
egov Asia 2006 highlighted e-Government trends and strategies in Asia, and brought forth the challenges and opportunities specific to the Asian region. Along with exhibition, it was a forum to showcase best practices, innovative technologies and ICT solutions.
egov Asia 2006 was organized by the Centre for Science, Development and Media Studies (CSDMS) and GIS Development. APDIP was one of the supporting partners.
APDIP led an afternoon session on Wednesday, 26 April 2006, to share the results of a project entitled "Capacity Building of Asia-Pacific e-Government Initiatives," that includes the development of 22 e-government case studies from 12 different countries.
Prior to egov Asia 2005, APDIP organized a regional workshop on Asia-Pacific e-government initiatives on 24-25 April also at Rama Gardens Hotel and Resort in Bangkok.
