This national conference and exhibition organized by Partnerships for e-Prosperity for the Poor (Pe-PP) aims to bring together telecenter and rural development stakeholders.
The conference and exhibition is intended to achieve the following objectives:
- To raise the awareness and to discuss telecenter development in Indonesia intiated by the government, private sectors, non-governmental organizations, and donor organizations
- To raise the awareness and discuss the participatory telecenter services and content development for rural communities of Indonesia
- To build partnerships amongst telecenter development and rural development stakeholders
James George Chacko represented APDIP at the conference and made a presentation on telecenter development in the Asia-Pacific region, focusing on the policies, regulations, and inititatives that have propelled telecenter development in some of the countries.
