Second Annual Asia-Pacific Public Services Summit, Beijing, China, 8-10 June 2005

China's State Council Informatization Office (SCITO), APDIP, Cisco Systems and UNDP China organised the second annual Asia-Pacific Public Services Summit in Beijing, China from 8 to 10 June 2005. This year's Summit focused on the theme of "Cross-Agency Collaboration" in e-Government, and explored issues ranging from governance to standards to adoption. Views from China, and across the region were represented.

Winners of the ICT R&D Grants Programme March 2005 Competition Round Announced

An international committee comprised of 11 experts selected nine winners from eight different Asia-Pacific countries. The proposals covered a wide range of topics, sectors, and issues.

APDIP Focus on Internet Governance at the Asia-Pacific Conference for WSIS, Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran, 31 May - 2 June 2005

APDIP, in collaboration with UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific and Asia Pacific Network Information Centre formulated Internet Governance priorities and recommendations for the Tehran Declaration on Building the Information Society in Asia and the Pacific and the Regional Action Plan towards Information Society for Asia and the Pacific.

High Level Asia-Pacific Conference for the World Summit on the Information Society, Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran, 31 May – 2 June 2005

The conference is jointly organized by the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, APDIP, UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, International Telecommunication Union’s regional office for Asia and the Pacific, and other partners.
