User Guide to to the GNU/Linux Operating System
The IOSN Linux User Guide aims to provide self-learning materials on how to use a Linux desktop system. It assumes that the user has no prior knowledge of Linux or PC usage.
After going through the guide the users should be in a position to start using a Linux desktop for both personal and office use. In particular s/he should be able to:
- access the Internet and use the Internet and email
- manipulate and manage files, folders and the file system
- produce and print simple documents and presentation materials
- advance to become a power user by further self-learning and exploring
The IOSN Linux User Guide is comprised of training materials, presentation slides and an interactive guide and can be accessed from the IOSN website by clicking here. It is also available in the IOSN Live CD, 5,000 of which are being widely distributed throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
