e-Primers for the Information Economy, Society and Polity: This series details the concepts, issues and trends surrounding the information economy, society and polity. It intends to raise awareness and help policy makers and planners understand the relevance of information and communication technologies (ICTs) for development, by explaining technical jargon in simple terms.

ICT4D Series: This series reviews and analyzes information and communication technologies (ICTs) for development policies and strategies across the region and guides the process of developing them. It aims to provide policy makers and other stakeholders in the development process valuable information on using ICTs effectively to achieve their goals.

Asia-Pacific e-Primer Series: The e-Primer series aim to provide policy makers and opinion leaders in developing countries of the Asia-Pacific with a clear understanding of the various terminologies, definitions, trends and issues surrounding the information economy, as well as, the specific implications of ICT for their societies.

Policy, Praxis and the Public Interest: Engendering a Strategic InfoComms Policy Research Programme in the Philippines: Grant awarded in March 2005 to Foundation for Media Alternatives to examine concrete policy areas which are important for the local/national context.

South Asia Public Sector ICT Summit, Hyderabad, 24 - 25 January 2005: This Summit provides a platform and opportunity for policy-makers to discuss and share their knowledge and experience in the various e-Government initiatives in their respective countries.

Asia-Pacific 2004 Public Services Summit: Connectivity and Competitiveness - New Models for e-Government in China, Asia-Pacific, and the World, 15 - 16 July 2004: UNDP-Asia Pacific Development Information Programme together with China's State Council Informatization Office (SCITO), Cisco Systems and UNDP China organized a high-level e-Government conference to share best practices between China, Asia Pacific, and the world on 15-16 July 2004 in Beijing, China.

Open Regional Dialogue on Internet Governance: The Open Regional Dialogue on Internet Governance (ORDIG) is an initiative created to understand governance priorities in the Asia-Pacific region, and provide Asia-Pacific perspectives to the United Nations Working Group on Internet Governance (UNWGIG) and the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS).

UNDP-APDIP ICT4D Series: The UNDP-APDIP ICT4D Series comprises publications on specific applications of ICT policies and its impact in accelerating social and economic development.

FOSSAP Consultation: FOSSAP Consultation attended by participants from 20 countries

ASEAN e-Government Seminar Series: APDIP and the e-ASEAN Task Force, along with ITU's Asia-Pacific Centre of Excellence and the Government of Singapore, organized a series of seminars or workshops on e-Government in Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Viet Nam.

Asian Parliamentarians Forum: An online forum for Asian Parliamentarians on ICT for Development. The Asian Parliamentarians Forum has been created in conjunction with the e-Awareness Seminar Series for Asian Parliamentarians (e-ASSAP) to heighten awareness among Asian lawmakers of the role of ICT today.

e-Policies and e-Strategies for Least Developed Countries of ASEAN: An initiative that aims to strengthen national capacities for Least Developed Member countries of ASEAN in the formulation of national e-policies and e-strategies for the application of ICT for development through national participatory consultations and under South-South cooperation principles.

ICT-focused Regional Human Development Report (RHDR): The RHDR explores linkages between ICT and the human development objectives of the UN Millennium Development Goals.

Digital Review of Asia Pacific 2003/2004: This bi-annual review provides facts, figures, data and analysis of the state-of-the-art of ICT and Internet diffusion, adoption and application in 25 Asia-Pacific countries. It serves as a one-stop reference source on the state-of-practice and future trends in ICTs for development and ICTs for industry for policy- and decision-makers, technology practitioners and experts, researchers, and educators in the region.

Policy and Measures to promote ICT Application and Deployment for Business Development in Rural Areas in Vietnam: Grant awarded in April 2004 to Centre for Regional Research and Development, Ministry of Science and Technology to propose policy recommendations that will help to speed up the use of ICT in rural business.

Policy for Integration of ICT intiatives across Rural Karnataka: Grant awarded in October 2003 to Centre for Environmental Studies and the Energy and Resources Institute to develop strategies and policy recommendations for integration of ICT interventions in rural Karnataka.

Asian Forum on Information and Communication Technology Policies and e-Strategies, 20-22 October 2003: Given the inadequate policy support, comparatively higher access costs, and absence and relevant content on the Internet, one is beginning to see a growing rural-urban digital divide. The Asian Forum is to address; and share knowledge on national ICT Policies and e-Strategies.
