Programmer Officers/Focal Points Workshop (POW I)
DEADLINE
PLEASE BE SURE TO SUBMIT YOUR ANSWERS BEFORE NOVEMBER 15, 2002.
BACKGROUND
As a pre-workshop exercise, the Asia-Pacific Development Information Programme (APDIP) has prepared this questionnaire to gather and share information on the state of ICT for Development in countries of the Asia-Pacific region.
APDIP will collect all questionnaire submissions, compile, and make available the information to participants of the Workshop for UNDP Country Office ICT Programme Officers/Focal Points in Asia-Pacific. It is our hope that this information will be used as reference material for discussion during and beyond the workshop.
APDIP hopes to keep this information up-to-date by putting most, if not all of it, on the APDIP website (www.apdip.net) so that Country Offices can feed any new information onto our web pages anytime they wish after the workshop.
This questionnaire is to be completed by the UNDP ICT Focal Point/Programme Officer in Country Offices in the Asia-Pacific region. We highly recommend that every ICT focal point/programme officer complete the questionnaire, even if he/she can not attend the Kuala Lumpur workshop in December 2002.
With this questionnaire, we are attempting to compile a snap-shot of what is happening in ICT for Development at three primary levels. First, what is the Government is doing? Second, what is the donor community focussed on in the country with regard to ICT for Development? And third, what is the UNDP Country Office is doing?
