Document Actions
Target Audience

Parliamentarians from about 20 countries in Southeast Asia and South Asia participated or will do so in one of three seminars in this initial e-Awareness Seminar Series for Asian Parliamentarians. Strong efforts were undertaken to ensure a good representation of female parliamentarians for the first two, and will continue to be a criterion for the upcoming seminar in New Delhi.

Resources

The Asian Parliamentarians Forum - an online resource centre for Asian parliamentarians
All seminar presentations, proceedings and reports are available on the online resource centre for Asian parliamentarians at the Asian Parliamentarians Forum web site (http://www.eAPF.net). This resource centre is developed, hosted and maintained by UNDP-APDIP. A discussion forum is also available for registered participants. The This online resource centre for Asian parliamentarians also aims to provide regular policy updates to participating and other parliamentarians interested in playing an active role in developments in the respective regions.

Source Book for Asian Parliamentarians
A source book on key Asian ICT4D issues has been produced and is currently being published. This handbook serves as a guide to e-policies, ICT4D initiatives and networks in the region. A clear understanding of the ever-changing technology and the opportunities that these offer in bridging the digital divide is becoming increasingly critical for Asian parliamentarians and as such, this handbook seeks to address this timely need and provide examples of "best practices" in ICT4D in the various regions.
