Immediate beneficiaries of IOSN are the Asia-Pacific Open Source R&D Community, software developers, governments, NGO community, academics, and technicians. The resource center will be central in helping policy- and decision-makers, educational institutions and others develop plans for Open Source in their respective organisations. Decision-makers and Goverments will benefit from the knowledge capital and resources of such a Network. Finally, other beneficiaries include independent researchers and programmers seeking work. IOSN will be an open source hub for governments, institutions, and individuals.
