The National Information Communications Technology Development Authority (NiDA) was established by Royal Decree August 23, 2000 and is chaired by the Prime Minister; the NiDA Deputy Chair is the Senior Minister in charge of the Office of Council of Ministers.  NiDA’s mandates include:
  • Formulation of ICT promotion and development policy/strategy for the short-, medium-, and long-term
  • Implementation ICT Policy/Strategy for maximum economic growth
  • Monitoring and auditing all IT related projects in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
  • The noted activities/achievements, present and past, of NiDA include the following:
  • The Government Administrative Information System (GAIS)
  • The Regional Cisco Networking Academy, under a Cisco/UNDP-APDIP partnership
  • The establishment of the Internet Plaza
