Accommodation and Hotel Charges

Room reservations at the Renaissance Hotel have been made for all participants. Confirmed participants are reserved a standard New World Wing Superior room at the preferential rate of RM180+10% service tax+5% government tax (approximately USD55) per night.

Participants, please note that you are expected to settle all accommodation, hotel and living expenses out of the appropriate Daily Subsistence Allowance (DSA) provided by the your Country Office prior to their arrival. The organizers are not responsible for any living expenses or other expenses. (Note: Kuala Lumpur DSA rate for January 2004 is USD88.

Participants are free to change, on arrival, the type of hotel room according to personal preference, subject to room availability. Please inform the front desk upon check-in.

Participants are also free to make their own arrangements for accommodation in any other location of their choice.

Note:Participating UNDP Country Offices shall be responsible for organizing and funding the cost for participation of their ICT Programme Officer(s).

Airport Transfer

All participants are expected to arrange their respective airport transfers for departure from Kuala Lumpur. Hotel taxi service is available at RM150 (approximately USD40) from the Renaissance to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (one way). Please make your booking at the front desk.

Meals

Tea breaks and lunch will be provided to participants for the duration of the workshop.

Welcome Dinner

A welcome dinner on the evening of Thursday, 12 February 2004 is prepared for participants. This will be held in Saloma Theatre Restaurant, within walking distance of the Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel. Please ask the front desk, workshop secretariat, or visit the POW II website for directions.
