Director of ICT Strategy, City of Stockholm, Sweden
Presently the Director of ICT Strategy in the City of Stockholm. Earlier the Director of the Swedish Information and Communication Commission 1999-2003 and Director for the R&D-policy division at the Ministry for Industry and Trade, 1995-1999.
Mr. Marking has served on a number of Government Commissions in various fields, e.g. as Director of the Swedish Commission for the Development of Competence and Skills in Working Life and as secretary of the Swedish Commission for Computer Policy in the early 1980-ties. Mr. Marking has been engaged in research work, both in academia and in the private sector, e.g. at the Swedish Metalworkers Union, at Swedish Centre for Working Life and at the Royal Institute of Technology.
