e-Government Case Studies

Page Tools
The project has engaged government and non-government officials, university professors and private sector consultants to develop 20 case studies from 12 different Asia-Pacific countries that document pro-poor e-government initiatives and their impact on the creation and protection of sustainable livelihoods, provision of access to entitlements and social services, provision of relevant information for human development and security and/or addressing the needs of the most vulnerable groups.

The 20 case studies from Cambodia, China, Fiji, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Thailand were reviewed at a Regional Workshop in Bangkok, Thailand on 24-25 April 2006. The case studies will be published in the Autumn 2005 issue of UNCRD's journal, the Regional Development Dialogue as a joint Special Edition Publication by UNCRD and UNDP.
