Seminars
Asia-Pacific countries are relying more and more on the Internet and information technologies for their social and economic development. Understanding of the issues involved and the technologies used is often a limiting factor to fully exploit ICT's capacity to catalyse the sustainable development of a country.
APDIP has recognised this need and, in response, conducts highly-specialised Seminars to address important issues such as: ICT-related policies; legislation, strategies and opportunities, infrastructure building, funding, sectoral issues, such as ICT in health, education, environment; security, e-government, teleworking, etc.
Additionally APDIP offers specialised technical workshops, as requested by member countries, to cover subjects has web sites management, Internet Service Provider advanced techniques, etc.
Standard training curricula are available, which APDIP can adapt to specific needs on a case by case basis. Seminars and workshops are offered principally to official government counterparts, NGOs and CSOs, and are organised by APDIP in collaboration with the UNDP office in each country.
