E-Learning for Life (Coca-Cola)
- The central concept of the “e-Learning for Life” initiative is to enable schools to become “hubs” for life-long e-learning, by extending ICT access to their local communities. Students, teachers, and community members will all share the ICT facility and infrastructure of the school.

e-Warga Kota (e-City Residents)
- The pilot project project aims to use ICT as enablers not only for bridging the digital divide but to improve the socio-economic well-being of Malaysia’s urban poor. Launched by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), this project introduces ICT training and access to residents in Public Housing Sri Perak Bandar Baru Sentul and Public Housing Jalan Jelatek, through the upgrading of local ICT resource centres.

Malaysian Grid for Learning (MyGfL)
- The project aims to connect the Malaysian learning community, schools and education institutions, industry, communities, individuals and online learning resources into one integrated platform. The Malaysian Grid for Learning (MyGfL) is an integrated online learning platform catering to Malaysians of every age, from kindergarten children to adult learners. MyGfL will become a one-stop centre for all existing elearning projects by providing free online learning resources and services.

Study of Human Resource Requirements to Support the Application and Diffusion of IT in Malaysia
- The objective of the study is to review and assess the depth and sophistication of IT applications and the implications for human resource development in Malaysia. The results of the study will provide policy makers with a comprehensive overview of IT and human resource issues to develop appropriate strategies for the period 1998-2005.

Formulation of Human Resource Development Master Plan
- The objective of this study is to enable Malaysia to formulate a Human Resource Development Master Plan that will leapfrog Malaysia’s transition into a knowledge-based economy. It incorporates recommendations on policies and strategies for the development of high quality and globally competitive human resources to support Malaysia’s economic goals and competitive advantage. The study also formulates an action plan for the effective implementation of the HRD Master Plan.

Access to Information
- The project aims to collect baseline data to look at the future of mainstream and alternative media, their responsibilities as information providers and public access to information. Results will enable the development of key policy recommendations for improved democratic governance and participatory decision-making.

Des@Net: Delivering Electronic Services to All
- The objective of Des@Net is to promote the effective use and awareness of ICT as a means to improve standards of living, learning, work and recreation among students in rural Sabah. Des@Net is a mobile computer training centre that contains 10 notebooks, a server and laser printer.

E-Learning for Life (Apple Malaysia)
- The project aims to provide ICT-enabled teaching and learning tools for teachers to prepare materials based on the project of the same name initiated by UNDP through the support of Coca Cola in January 2002.

- The project aims to produce integrated packages of training/financing & tax incentives/awareness materials, as well as access to ICT tools/applications, including teleworking.

- The pilot project aims to bridge the digital divide by providing ICT training camps for children in remote communities.

National Framework for Bridging Digital Divide
- This initiative aims to develop the National Strategic Framework for Bridging the Digital Divide in Malaysia for use in the Ninth Malaysia Plan.

Community Communications Development Programme (CCDP)
- The aim of the CCDP is to build capacity, as well as to introduce and encourage growth in the usage of communications and multimedia-based services to communities all over Malaysia which have limited access to communications networks and services.

Selangor Government’s Initiative in Bridging the Digital Divide
- The project aims for Selangor residents to become an ICT literate society by 2005 and to reduce the digital divide between rural and urban residents by 30 percent in 2004.
